🍽️ Classic Senfeier with Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1.5 tbsp flour
- 300 ml vegetable broth
- 50 ml whipping cream
- 4 medium egg(s)
- 1 tsp mustard, grainy
- 3 tsp mustard, hot
- 0.5 box garden cress
Instructions
- 1. Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat.
- 2. Stir the flour into the melted butter.
- 3. Fry the butter-flour mixture briefly until it turns slightly brown.
- 4. Slowly stir in the vegetable broth and the cream with the mixture.
- 5. Bring the sauce to a boil.
- 6. Let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes over medium heat.
- 7. Stir occasionally to keep the sauce smooth.
- 8. Boil the eggs in a separate pot of boiling water for 6 minutes.
- 9. Shock the boiled eggs immediately with cold water.
- 10. Peel the cooled eggs.
- 11. Remove the sauce from the heat so it stops boiling.
- 12. Stir the coarse mustard and the sharp mustard into the sauce.
- 13. Season the sauce with salt and sugar to taste.
- 14. Place the peeled eggs into the warm sauce.
- 15. Let the eggs warm through in the sauce for a short time.
- 16. Trim the cress.
- 17. Spread the cress over the eggs.
- 18. Serve the Senfeier with salted potatoes or boiled potatoes.
