🍰 Vanilla Crescent Cookies

Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 1 pinch baking powder
- 125 g sugar
- 1 vanilla pod(s) (the seeds from it)
- 2 egg yolks
- 200 g butter (cold)
- 125 g almond(s) (ground)
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 4 packets vanilla sugar
- flour (for the work surface)
Instructions
- 1. Mix the flour and baking powder in a large bowl. Add the sugar, the seeds from one vanilla pod, the egg yolks, the butter, and the almonds. Mix everything well with the mixer using the dough hook until a dough forms.
- 2. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is smooth. Roll the dough into thin logs about as thick as a pencil. Place the logs on a plate and put them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- 3. Cut the dough logs into pieces 4 to 5 centimeters long. Roll the ends of the pieces slightly thinner and shape them into small crescents. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake them in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat for about 10 minutes.
- 4. Mix the powdered sugar with the vanilla sugar. Lightly sprinkle the hot cookies with this mixture immediately after baking. Let the cookies cool down and then roll them completely in the remaining vanilla sugar.
