  1. 1. Wash the cauliflower and remove the outer leaves and the hard lower stem.
  2. 2. Cut a cross into the hard core at the bottom of the cauliflower.
  3. 3. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  4. 4. Boil the cauliflower head in the water for about 10 minutes until it is tender.
  5. 5. Dice the onions into very small cubes.
  6. 6. Season the minced meat with salt, pepper, mustard, cumin, marjoram, and paprika powder.
  7. 7. Mix the onion cubes, the eggs, and the quark with the seasoned meat.
  8. 8. Drain the cooking water from the cauliflower.
  9. 9. Place the hot cauliflower into a slightly larger baking dish.
  10. 10. Spread the meat mixture evenly over the cauliflower.
  11. 11. Lay the bacon strips across the entire surface.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  13. 13. Bake the casserole for about one hour.
  14. 14. Serve the dish with a fresh salad, boiled potatoes, or a light sauce.
