🍽️ Braided Bread with Quark-Oil Dough

Ingredients
- 300 g flour
- 150 g low-fat quark
- 1 egg
- 8 tbsp oil
- 4 tbsp milk
- 80 g sugar
- 1 pkt. baking powder
- 1 pinch(es) salt
- 50 g raisins
- 1 egg yolk (for brushing)
- 50 g sliced almonds (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- 1. Place the quark in a sieve and let it drain.
- 2. Put all ingredients except the raisins into the food processor.
- 3. Knead the dough with the dough hook until it is smooth.
- 4. Knead the raisins into the dough by hand.
- 5. Divide the dough into three equal parts.
- 6. Roll each part into a long rope.
- 7. Join the three ropes at one end.
- 8. Braid the ropes together into a loaf.
- 9. Place the braided loaf on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 10. Brush the loaf with egg yolk.
- 11. Sprinkle almond flakes on top.
- 12. Bake the bread for about 30 minutes at 160 degrees Celsius with convection.
