  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. 2. Melt the butter in a small pot.
  3. 3. Put the egg whites in a separate bowl.
  4. 4. Beat the egg whites with a mixer until stiff peaks form.
  5. 5. Mix all other batter ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl.
  6. 6. Gently fold the egg whites into the batter using a spoon.
  7. 7. Fill the mixture into 12 muffin cups.
  8. 8. Bake the muffins for about 15 minutes in the oven.
  9. 9. Let the muffins cool down completely afterwards.
  10. 10. Melt the chocolate coating in a double boiler or in the microwave.
  11. 11. Cut the marshmallows in half.
  12. 12. Stick a chocolate drop onto the sticky cut side of each marshmallow half to serve as a pupil.
  13. 13. Coat the cooled muffins thinly with the melted chocolate coating.
  14. 14. Stick two chocolate pretzels on top of the coating to look like antlers.
  15. 15. Place two marshmallow eyes on the muffin.
  16. 16. Put a softcake (small, soft cookie) as a face under the eyes.
  17. 17. Stick a chocolate lens as a red nose in the center of the cookie using a bit of coating.
