Ingredients
- 100 g raisins
- 100 g apricots (dried, finely diced)
- 50 g citron
- 100 g almonds (chopped)
- 100 g marzipan
- 150 g sugar
- 1 packet baking powder
- 2 packets vanilla sugar
- 2 tbsp rum (or 2 x rum flavoring)
- 300 g butter (or margarine)
- 2 medium-sized egg(s)
- 600 g flour
- 2 packets vanilla sugar
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon powder
Instructions
- 1. Take all the dough ingredients and knead them by hand until a smooth mass forms.
- 2. Shape the dough into long, cylindrical logs.
- 3. Wrap the dough logs tightly in plastic wrap.
- 4. Place the wrapped rolls in the refrigerator for two hours.
- 5. Cut the cold dough logs into pieces two to three centimeters long.
- 6. Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet with some space between them.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 8. Bake the pieces in the preheated oven for eight to ten minutes until they are lightly browned.
- 9. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place the baked pieces on a kitchen rack.
- 10. Sprinkle the hot pieces immediately with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
