  1. 1. Beat the butter and sugar with the hand mixer for three minutes until creamy.
  2. 2. Add the eggs and mix for another three minutes until the mixture is particularly smooth.
  3. 3. Mix flour, baking soda (leavening agent), and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. 4. Add the dry mixture to the butter mixture and stir gently with a spoon.
  5. 5. Stir only until no flour is visible and a dough forms.
  6. 6. Gently fold the chocolate chips into the dough.
  7. 7. Line a baking sheet with two layers of baking paper.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 190 °C (convection mode).
  9. 9. Form dough mounds the size of a plum and place them on the baking paper.
  10. 10. Press the mounds down slightly and ensure they are all the same size.
  11. 11. Bake the cookies in the hot oven for about 10 to 13 minutes.
  12. 12. Take the cookies out when they are still very soft.
  13. 13. Let the cookies cool for 20 minutes until they sink in the middle.
