  1. 1. Heat a large pan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the oil to the hot pan.
  3. 3. Add the onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers to the pan.
  4. 4. Cook the vegetables for about 8 minutes until lightly browned.
  5. 5. Stir the vegetables occasionally while cooking.
  6. 6. Add the garlic, salt, and pepper.
  7. 7. Cook the spices for another 30 seconds.
  8. 8. Move the vegetable mixture to one side of the pan.
  9. 9. Place the steak strips on the empty side of the pan.
  10. 10. Cook the steak for no more than 2 minutes.
  11. 11. Mix the steak with the vegetable mixture.
  12. 12. Divide the meat mixture in the pan into two equal portions.
  13. 13. Add cheese to each half of the meat mixture.
  14. 14. Cut the baguettes in half lengthwise.
  15. 15. Hollow out some of the bread from the inside of the buns.
  16. 16. Wait until the cheese on the meat mixture has melted.
  17. 17. Place the meat mixture on the bottom half of a baguette.
  18. 18. Cover the sandwich with the top half of the baguette.
  19. 19. Optionally, add some ketchup to the meat mixture before closing the bun.
