🍽️ Crispy Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

Ingredients
- oil for frying
- 2 medium-sized onion(s) (sliced into very thin slices)
- 100 g mushrooms (sliced into thin slices)
- 1 large bell pepper(s), green (cut into thin strips)
- 2 tsp garlic (cut into very thin slices)
- salt and pepper, black
- 250 g steak(s) (sliced into very thin slices)
- 220 g provolone (or mozzarella, thinly sliced)
- 2 large baguette rolls
Instructions
- 1. Heat a large pan over medium heat.
- 2. Add the oil to the hot pan.
- 3. Add the onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers to the pan.
- 4. Cook the vegetables for about 8 minutes until lightly browned.
- 5. Stir the vegetables occasionally while cooking.
- 6. Add the garlic, salt, and pepper.
- 7. Cook the spices for another 30 seconds.
- 8. Move the vegetable mixture to one side of the pan.
- 9. Place the steak strips on the empty side of the pan.
- 10. Cook the steak for no more than 2 minutes.
- 11. Mix the steak with the vegetable mixture.
- 12. Divide the meat mixture in the pan into two equal portions.
- 13. Add cheese to each half of the meat mixture.
- 14. Cut the baguettes in half lengthwise.
- 15. Hollow out some of the bread from the inside of the buns.
- 16. Wait until the cheese on the meat mixture has melted.
- 17. Place the meat mixture on the bottom half of a baguette.
- 18. Cover the sandwich with the top half of the baguette.
- 19. Optionally, add some ketchup to the meat mixture before closing the bun.
