Ingredients
- 1 Port. Kasseler (smoked pork loin)
- to taste water
Instructions
- 1. Turn on the oven to 160 degrees Celsius with fan.
- 2. Cut a piece of aluminum foil to match the size of your meat.
- 3. Pat the Kasseler meat dry with a kitchen towel.
- 4. Place the meat in the center of the aluminum foil.
- 5. Fold up the edges of the foil to create an open packet.
- 6. Place the meat packet into the preheated oven.
- 7. Pour some water into the packet until the bottom is slightly covered.
- 8. Let the roast cook in the oven for 45 minutes.
- 9. Add more water occasionally to prevent the meat from drying out.
- 10. Slice the roast thinly and serve it cold on a buffet.
- 11. Slice the roast thickly and serve it warm with fried potatoes or sauerkraut.
