🍽️ Chicken Pan "Istanbul" Style in Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1 bell pepper(s) (red, cut into large pieces)
- 1 onion(s) (halved, cut into rings)
- 200 g chicken breast fillet(s)
- red wine vinegar
- red wine
- cornstarch
- salt and pepper
- paprika powder
- chili powder
- cardamom
- olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 2. Place the bell peppers and one tablespoon of olive oil into the air fryer basket.
- 3. Cook the bell peppers for 5 minutes at 180 °C.
- 4. Add the onions to the pepper pieces.
- 5. Sauté the vegetables for another 5 minutes at 180 °C.
- 6. Rinse the chicken breast and pat it dry with kitchen paper.
- 7. Cut the chicken meat into thin strips.
- 8. Season the chicken strips generously with salt, pepper, paprika powder, and cardamom.
- 9. Add the seasoned chicken strips to the peppers and onions in the air fryer.
- 10. Roast the chicken for 15 to 20 minutes at 180 °C.
- 11. Stir the food occasionally with a wooden spoon.
- 12. Mix 2 tablespoons of red wine, one teaspoon of vinegar, and half a teaspoon of cornstarch in a small bowl.
- 13. Add the sauce mixture to the air fryer 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
- 14. Let the sauce cook briefly at the end until it thickens.
- 15. Serve the "Istanbul" pan hot.
- 16. Note: This recipe is not authentically Turkish, but only recalls a flavor I tasted in Istanbul.
