🍲 Soljanka in Mama's Style

Ingredients
- 200 g salami
- 200 g hunting sausage
- 200 g poultry sausage
- 200 g bacon (diced)
- 5 m.-large onion(s)
- 4 bell pepper(s)
- 150 g tomato paste (or more to taste)
- 5 pickle(s)
- to taste pickle brine
- 1 tbsp sambal oelek (or 1 dried chili pepper)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 bouillon cube (fatty (preferably a cube, then the dosage works great))
- 1 tsp mustard
- 3 clove(s) garlic
- to taste sour cream (for stirring in)
- to taste ciabatta
Instructions
- 1. Fry the bacon in the pan.
- 2. Add the diced sausage and fry it well.
- 3. Add the salami and fry it briefly.
- 4. Add the onions and continue frying until they are soft and translucent.
- 5. If the ingredients start to stick, add a little water.
- 6. Add the diced peppers, tomato paste, and crushed garlic.
- 7. Fry everything briefly.
- 8. Add the chopped cucumbers, some cucumber water, and all the spices.
- 9. Pour in 1 to 1.5 liters of water.
- 10. Add the fatty broth.
- 11. Let the soup simmer for 20 minutes.
- 12. Prepare the Soljanka the day before.
- 13. Reheat it the next day.
- 14. Let the Soljanka rest for a few hours before you eat it.
- 15. Serve the Soljanka with toasted ciabatta bread.
- 16. Serve sour cream on the side, which you can stir in as you like.
