  1. 1. Warm the milk together with the butter in a pot.
  2. 2. Remove the milk-butter mixture from the heat until the butter is completely melted.
  3. 3. Put 450 grams of flour, salt, sugar, and an egg into a large bowl.
  4. 4. Make a well in the flour mixture.
  5. 5. Crumble the yeast into this well.
  6. 6. Pour the warm milk-butter mixture in.
  7. 7. Knead everything from the center outwards to form a smooth dough.
  8. 8. If the dough is too sticky, add a little flour bit by bit.
  9. 9. Stop adding flour as soon as the dough is easy to handle.
  10. 10. Cover the bowl.
  11. 11. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  12. 12. Roll the dough out into a rectangle on a work surface.
  13. 13. Spread the butter over the dough surface.
  14. 14. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  15. 15. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough.
  16. 16. Leave a small border on the dough free.
  17. 17. Roll the dough tightly from the long side.
  18. 18. Cut the dough into 2 to 3 cm thick slices.
  19. 19. Grease a baking dish.
  20. 20. Place the dough pieces with the cut side down in the dish.
  21. 21. Cover the dish.
  22. 22. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  23. 23. Whisk all the ingredients for the glaze in a bowl.
  24. 24. Check the consistency of the glaze.
  25. 25. If the glaze is too thick, add a little milk.
  26. 26. Make sure the glaze does not become too runny.
  27. 27. Preheat the oven to 180 °C top and bottom heat.
  28. 28. Bake the rolls for approx. 15 to 20 minutes.
  29. 29. Take the rolls out of the oven.
  30. 30. Spread the glaze over the warm rolls.
  31. 31. Serve the rolls.
