- 100 g Butter
- 100 g Sugar
- 200 g Almond sticks
Instructions
- 1. Note: The video shows a small version in a 26-centimeter springform pan. For that, you only need half the amount. This recipe, however, is intended for a full sheet pan.
- 2. Beat the butter and sugar until creamy.
- 3. Stir in the eggs and cocoa.
- 4. Sift the flour with the baking powder into the bowl.
- 5. Mix everything thoroughly.
- 6. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 8. Bake the base for 20 minutes.
- 9. Whisk the liquid cream with the cream powder (e.g., pudding powder).
- 10. Beat the cream until stiff.
- 11. Stir in the sour cream, sugar, and vanilla sugar.
- 12. Spread the cream over the cooled cake base.
- 13. Heat the butter and sugar in a pan.
- 14. Add the almond slivers.
- 15. Let the almonds caramelize (the sugar turns brown and develops a rich flavor).
- 16. Let the almonds cool in the pan.
- 17. Scatter the almonds over the cream.
