Ingredients
- 250 g ground beef
- 250 g ground pork
- 1 roll (soaked)
- 1 large onion(s)
- 2 egg(s)
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- a little anchovy paste
- 1 small bunch parsley (for garnish)
- 1 liter meat broth (clear)
- salt
- 1 large onion(s)
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 allspice berries
- 3 peppercorns
- 3 tbsp margarine or butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 375 ml broth (from cooking the meatballs)
- 1 small jar capers
- 125 ml cream
- lemon juice
- sugar
- salt and pepper
- 1 egg yolk
Instructions
- 1. Squeeze out the bread rolls and finely dice the onions.
- 2. Mix the minced meat, the bread rolls, the onions, the eggs, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- 3. Bind the dough with some breadcrumbs.
- 4. Optionally, stir in a little anchovy paste.
- 5. Shape small meatballs from the mixture.
- 6. Add the remaining diced onion and the spices to the broth.
- 7. Heat the broth and season with salt if necessary.
- 8. Place the meatballs into the hot broth.
- 9. Let the meatballs simmer gently for about 10 minutes.
- 10. Remove the bay leaf, peppercorns, and allspice berries.
- 11. Carefully lift the finished meatballs out of the broth.
