Instructions

  1. 1. Slice the carrot into thick rounds that are about three to four millimeters thick.
  2. 2. Cut a small triangle out of each carrot slice by making two cuts towards the center of the slice.
  3. 3. Set the cut triangles aside, as they will serve as beaks later.
  4. 4. Make a small slit in a small red grape.
  5. 5. Insert a carrot triangle into this slit to attach the beak.
  6. 6. Cut out a third of a larger grape to create an opening.
  7. 7. Carefully fill this opening with cream cheese to form the penguin's white belly.
  8. 8. Skewer the small grape (head) on top and the large grape (belly) on the bottom onto a toothpick.
  9. 9. Attach the remaining carrot slices at the bottom of the skewer as feet.
  10. 10. Slide a small parsley leaf onto the very top of the skewer.
  11. 11. Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients for more penguins.
  12. 12. Arrange the finished penguins nicely on a plate.
  13. 13. Present the penguins on the party buffet, as they are perfect for children's birthdays and make a healthy treat.
