  1. 1. Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for about one hour. This allows the spices to penetrate the meat and the flavors to blend well.
  2. 2. Take portions of the meat mixture and press them firmly around wooden skewers (e.g., shish kebab skewers). You do not need to soak the skewers beforehand, as the fat released during cooking will help the meat release easily from the wood later.
  3. 3. Heat some oil in a large frying pan. Cook the skewers on all sides for about 5 to 10 minutes until they are nicely browned and crispy. In summer, you can also prepare the skewers on a charcoal grill using metal skewers.
  4. 4. Serve the skewers with rice, a fresh salad, and sheep's cheese. In Turkey, yogurt is often eaten with them. You can also place the grilled meat in sliced flatbread and enjoy it as a quick snack.
  5. 5. Note on spiciness: With the specified amount of Pul Biber (paprika flakes), the skewers are not extremely spicy. The heat builds up slowly and pleasantly. However, you can adjust the amount to your taste or serve a very spicy dip alongside, as is common in Turkey.
