🍽️ Crispy Bacon Tomato Cream Cheese Bites

Ingredients
- 10 slice/s toast bread
- 20 slice/s bacon (thinly sliced)
- 200 g cream cheese
- 1 tbsp crème fraîche (lightly heaped tbsp)
- 125 g tomato(s), dried in oil (marinated and drained)
- 1 clove/s garlic
- 1 tbsp chives (frozen or fresh)
- 1 tbsp parsley (frozen or fresh)
- salt and pepper
- fat for the baking sheet
Instructions
- 1. Drain the sun-dried tomatoes well.
- 2. Chop the tomatoes finely.
- 3. Place the cream cheese (a soft, fresh cheese) in a bowl.
- 4. Add one full tablespoon of crème fraîche (sour cream spread).
- 5. Add the pressed garlic.
- 6. Add the herbs.
- 7. Add the chopped tomatoes.
- 8. Stir everything into a smooth cream.
- 9. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- 10. Remove the crusts from the toast bread.
- 11. Cut each slice of bread twice crosswise.
- 12. You will get four equal squares per slice.
- 13. Place one full teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto a toast square.
- 14. Spread the cream smoothly.
- 15. Repeat this for all squares.
- 16. Cut the thin bacon slices (smoked pork belly) in half crosswise.
- 17. Place one half slice of bacon on top of each cream cheese toast.
- 18. Grease a baking sheet.
- 19. Place the bites on the sheet.
- 20. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 21. Bake the bites for 15 to 20 minutes.
- 22. The bacon should be crispy.
- 23. Remove the bites from the oven.
- 24. Serve them warm.
