  1. 1. Put dry yeast, butter, egg, sugar, salt, and flour into a large bowl.
  2. 2. Slowly stir in 150 milliliters of water.
  3. 3. Make sure the amount of water fits the dough.
  4. 4. Cover the bowl.
  5. 5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. 6. Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface.
  7. 7. Knead the dough briefly.
  8. 8. Divide the dough into 8 equal balls.
  9. 9. Place them with some space between them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  10. 10. Make sure the surface is smooth.
  11. 11. Gently flatten the balls.
  12. 12. Cover the balls.
  13. 13. Let them rise again for 1 hour.
  14. 14. Whisk the egg white with 1 tablespoon of water.
  15. 15. Brush the risen dough balls with this mixture.
  16. 16. Preheat the oven to 185 degrees Celsius top and bottom heat.
  17. 17. Bake the buns for about 12 to 17 minutes.
  18. 18. Let the buns cool down completely on a wire rack.
  19. 19. Fill them according to your taste.
