🍰 Apple Pudding Cake with Crumble Topping

Ingredients
- 200 g flour
- 80 g sugar
- 80 g butter
- 1 egg
- 0.5 packet baking powder
- 2 apples
- 1 packet apple sauce (approx. 750 g)
- 1 packet vanilla pudding powder (for cooking)
- some milk (or apple juice for mixing)
- sugar
- cinnamon
- 150 g flour
- 60 g sugar
- 80 g butter
- some cinnamon powder
Instructions
- 1. Mix all the dough ingredients until smooth.
- 2. Press the dough into the springform pan.
- 3. Use your hands to form a crust edge about 2 to 3 centimeters high.
- 4. Put the apple sauce into a small pot.
- 5. Add a little cinnamon.
- 6. Let the mixture simmer gently.
- 7. Peel the apples.
- 8. Cut the apples into quarters.
- 9. Slice the apple quarters into small pieces.
- 10. Place half of the apple slices on the dough base.
- 11. Save the rest of the apples for later.
- 12. Mix the pudding powder with a little milk or apple juice until smooth.
- 13. Stir in the prepared vanilla pudding powder vigorously when the apple sauce is gently bubbling.
- 14. Remove the pot from the heat as soon as the mixture thickens.
- 15. Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the base.
- 16. Arrange the remaining apple slices on top of the pudding mixture.
- 17. Mix the crumble ingredients together.
- 18. Do not forget the cinnamon for the crumble.
- 19. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the top.
- 20. Bake the cake at 160 degrees Celsius fan-forced for 45 to 50 minutes.
