🍽️ Crispy Lahmacun with Meat Topping

Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup water, lukewarm (approx. 290 ml)
- flour for the work surface
- 500 g minced meat (beef, lamb or poultry)
- 2 medium-sized onion(s)
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 bunch parsley
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 clove(s) garlic
- 2 large tomato(s)
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 medium-sized tomato(s)
- 2 medium-sized onion(s)
- 1 head iceberg lettuce
- to taste feta cheese
Instructions
- 1. Put flour and yeast into a bowl.
- 2. Work sugar, salt, olive oil, and water into the flour.
- 3. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
- 4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth.
- 5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
- 6. Knead the dough briefly again afterwards.
- 7. Let the dough rest for another 30 minutes.
- 8. Place the minced meat in a large bowl.
- 9. Dice the onions into small cubes.
- 10. Dice the tomatoes into small cubes.
- 11. Chop the parsley finely.
- 12. Add the onions, tomatoes, and parsley to the meat.
- 13. Add the remaining spices.
- 14. Knead the meat mixture thoroughly.
- 15. Make sure everything is well combined and uniform.
- 16. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 17. Divide the dough into mandarin-sized pieces.
- 18. Each piece should weigh about 80 to 100 grams.
- 19. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
- 20. Roll out the dough pieces into thin flatbreads.
- 21. The flatbreads should be about 3 millimeters thick.
- 22. Place the flatbreads on the prepared tray.
- 23. Spread 1.5 heaped tablespoons of the meat mixture on each flatbread.
- 24. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 25. Bake the Lahmacun for about 10 to 20 minutes.
- 26. The dough should be firm and crispy at the end.
- 27. Take the baked flatbreads out of the oven.
- 28. Chop the iceberg lettuce finely.
- 29. Chop the feta cheese finely.
- 30. Chop the onions finely.
- 31. Chop the tomatoes finely.
- 32. Place the chopped ingredients on the hot flatbreads.
- 33. Optionally add chili powder and tzatziki.
- 34. Roll up the flatbreads.
- 35. Enjoy them immediately.
