🍽️ Tender Turkey Strips in Creamy Carrot-Orange Sauce

Ingredients
- 500 g turkey meat (sliced)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 3 orange(s)
- 2 carrot(s)
- 1 leek onion(s)
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- 1 piece(s) ginger (walnut-sized)
- 0.5 chili pepper(s)
- 50 ml white wine
- 300 ml chicken broth
- 300 ml cream
- salt and pepper
- lemon juice
Instructions
- 1. Peel two oranges completely and remove the white pith.
- 2. Segment the fruit flesh of the oranges into individual pieces.
- 3. Juice one of the oranges.
- 4. Peel the carrots.
- 5. Cut the carrots into thin sticks or grate them using a julienne peeler.
- 6. Slice the spring onion into thin rings.
- 7. Finely chop the garlic, ginger, and chili pepper.
- 8. Sear the turkey meat in oil in a large pan.
- 9. Remove the seared meat from the pan and set it aside.
- 10. Fry the carrot sticks in the remaining fat in the pan.
- 11. Add the garlic, spring onion, ginger, and chili.
- 12. Sauté the vegetables briefly.
- 13. Deglaze the pan with white wine.
- 14. Let the liquid reduce slightly.
- 15. Add the orange juice and broth to the pan.
- 16. Reduce the sauce slightly.
- 17. Cook the carrots until they are no longer crunchy.
- 18. Add the cream to the sauce.
- 19. Bring the sauce to a boil.
- 20. Return the turkey meat to the pan.
- 21. Bring the dish to a boil again.
- 22. Warm the orange segments briefly in the sauce.
- 23. Season the dish to taste with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- 24. Serve the dish with rice.
