🍽️ Turkish Minced Meat Casserole with Sheep's Cheese

Ingredients
- 1 jar feta cheese (cubes in oil, approx. 150 - 200 g)
- 600 g beef mince (or lamb mince)
- 500 g mushrooms (fresh)
- 2 bell pepper(s), red (and green)
- 2 garlic clove(s)
- 300 g crème fraîche
- 1 tsp oregano (dried)
- 100 g feta cheese (block)
- salt and pepper (freshly ground)
Instructions
- 1. Place the sheep's cheese cubes into a colander.
- 2. Catch the draining oil in a bowl below.
- 3. Slice the mushrooms into thin pieces.
- 4. Wash the bell peppers and remove the inside.
- 5. Cut the bell peppers into thin strips.
- 6. Peel the garlic.
- 7. Chop the garlic very finely.
- 8. Take about 3 tablespoons of the caught oil.
- 9. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 10. Brown the minced meat in the pan.
- 11. Crumble the meat into small pieces.
- 12. Add half of the mushrooms.
- 13. Fry the mushrooms together with the meat.
- 14. Add the pepper strips.
- 15. Add the chopped garlic.
- 16. Fry everything briefly.
- 17. Wait for about 5 minutes.
- 18. Stir the crème fraîche into the meat mixture.
- 19. Stir the oregano into the meat mixture.
- 20. Season the mixture with salt.
- 21. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 22. Transfer the meat mixture to a heatproof baking dish.
- 23. Distribute the remaining mushrooms on top of the meat mixture.
- 24. Sprinkle the drained sheep's cheese cubes on top.
- 25. Sprinkle the crumbled sheep's cheese on top.
- 26. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 27. Bake the casserole for 20 to 30 minutes.
- 28. Serve the casserole with tzatziki.
