🍽️ Classic New York Club Sandwich

Ingredients
- 12 slice/s chicken breast deli meat (fewer if slices are large)
- 12 slice/s breakfast bacon
- 4 egg/s (hard-boiled)
- 2 tomato/s
- 8 lettuce leaf/s (green)
- 100 g mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 12 slice/s toast bread
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- 1. Whisk the mayonnaise with the mustard and season the mixture generously with pepper and salt. Cut the lettuce leaves into thin strips and gently fold them into the seasoned mayonnaise.
- 2. Toast the bread slices until crisp. Since three slices make one sandwich, evenly spread the lettuce-mayonnaise mixture onto eight slices. Top these with the chicken breast slices. Place the next four toast slices on top, with the lettuce side facing up.
- 3. Slice the tomatoes and the hard-boiled eggs thinly and arrange them on the sandwiches. Fry the bacon in a pan without extra fat until crisp and add it as the final topping. Season once more with pepper and cover the sandwiches with the remaining four toast slices.
- 4. Cut the finished sandwiches diagonally in half and serve them immediately.
- 5. Serve the sandwiches in classic American style with French fries and optionally a fresh mixed salad as a side dish.
