Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized potato(es)
- 2 medium-sized carrot(s)
- 1 medium-sized onion(s)
- 5 egg(s) (hard-boiled)
- 250 g fish (herring, marinated in oil)
- Miracel Whip
- 3 piece(s) beetroot (cooked)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes and carrots thoroughly.
- 2. Cook the vegetables with the skin on.
- 3. It is best to cook the vegetables the day before.
- 4. Peel the vegetables the next day.
- 5. Choose a flat, oval plate.
- 6. Grate the cooked potatoes on a coarse grater.
- 7. Spread the potatoes as the first layer on the plate.
- 8. Cut the herring into fine small cubes.
- 9. Place the herring cubes as the second layer on top.
- 10. Dice the onion finely.
- 11. Spread the onion as the third layer.
- 12. Drizzle four to five tablespoons of mayonnaise over it.
- 13. Grate the cooked carrots coarsely.
- 14. Place the carrots as the fifth layer on the salad.
- 15. Grate the cooked eggs coarsely or dice them finely.
- 16. Spread the eggs as the sixth layer.
- 17. Save one egg yolk for decoration.
- 18. Drizzle mayonnaise again over it.
- 19. Grate the beetroot coarsely.
- 20. Place the beetroot as the eighth layer on the salad.
- 21. Drizzle mayonnaise once more over it at the end.
- 22. Press the salad smooth.
- 23. Cover it with cling film.
- 24. Let it marinate for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- 25. Decorate it with the saved egg yolk.
- 26. Enjoy the salad!
