  6. 6. Whisk the processed cheese portion with the cream and milk until smooth.
  7. 7. Add a pinch of salt and ground nutmeg to the cheese-milk mixture.
  8. 8. Pour the liquid mixture evenly over the potatoes.
  9. 9. Distribute butter flakes evenly on the surface.
  10. 10. Sprinkle grated cheese over the gratin.
  11. 11. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 220 °C conventional heat.
