  1. 1. Place the minced meat in a medium bowl.
  2. 2. Peel the onion and cut it into very fine cubes.
  3. 3. Add the onion cubes, the egg, the breadcrumbs, and the spices to the meat.
  4. 4. Mix all ingredients thoroughly with your hands or a spoon.
  5. 5. Wet a large plate with a little water.
  6. 6. Moisten your hands slightly so the meat does not stick.
  7. 7. Take small portions of the meat mixture and roll them into small balls.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 100 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  9. 9. Heat the butter in a large pan.
  10. 10. Fry the meatballs on all sides until they are brown.
  11. 11. Remove the browned balls from the pan.
  12. 12. Place the meatballs in a bowl.
  13. 13. Place the bowl with the balls in the preheated oven to keep them warm.
  14. 14. Deglaze the cooking fat in the pan with a little water.
  15. 15. Stir the cream into the pan while stirring constantly.
  16. 16. Let the sauce come to a boil briefly.
  17. 17. Mix the flour with a little cold water to form a smooth mixture.
  18. 18. Add the flour mixture to the boiling cream sauce to thicken it.
  19. 19. Season the sauce with the remaining spices.
  20. 20. Peel the potatoes and cut them into quarters.
  21. 21. Boil the potato pieces in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes.
  22. 22. Drain the cooking water.
  23. 23. Add a small piece of butter to the hot potatoes.
  24. 24. Place the pot with the potatoes back on the stove.
  25. 25. Turn off the stove burner.
  26. 26. Place a clean kitchen towel between the pot and the lid.
  27. 27. Let the potatoes steam in the pot with the towel.
  28. 28. Take the meatballs out of the oven.
  29. 29. Do not place the meatballs directly into the sauce.
  30. 30. Serve the meatballs, the sauce, and the potatoes separately on the plate.
