🍽️ Fluffy Turkish Yeast Rolls with Feta

Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup oil
- 2 egg whites
- 2 egg yolks (for brushing)
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1 cube yeast
- 1 kg flour
- 200 g feta cheese
- to taste parsley, flat (chopped, optional)
- sesame seeds
- flour for the work surface
Instructions
- 1. Note: The cup used in this recipe holds approximately 250 milliliters.
- 2. Warm the milk until it is lukewarm.
- 3. Stir the yeast into the lukewarm milk.
- 4. Add the oil, egg white, sugar, and salt to the milk-yeast mixture.
- 5. Gradually add the flour.
- 6. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
- 7. Ensure the dough does not become too firm or dry.
- 8. Lightly dust the dough with flour.
- 9. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- 10. Divide the dough into small portions.
- 11. Shape the portions into small balls, about the size of a mandarin orange.
- 12. Place the dough balls on a surface lightly dusted with flour.
- 13. Cover the dough pieces.
- 14. Let the dough pieces rise for another 1 hour.
- 15. Crumble the feta cheese finely.
- 16. Finely chop the flat parsley.
- 17. Mix the feta with the parsley (optional).
- 18. Press the risen dough pieces flat with your fingers.
- 19. Place the feta-parsley mixture in the center of the dough pieces.
- 20. Roll up the dough pieces.
- 21. Shape the dough pieces into a snail shape.
- 22. Brush the rolls with egg yolk.
- 23. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the rolls.
- 24. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
- 25. Bake the rolls for 15 to 20 minutes with top and bottom heat.
- 26. Remove the rolls when they are golden yellow.
