🍽️ Simple Cauliflower Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower
- 2 tbsp butter
- 200 ml milk
- 100 ml cream
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 pinch(es) nutmeg
- salt and pepper
- cheese, grated
- fat for the dish
Instructions
- 1. Boil the cauliflower in salted water until tender-crisp. Break it into small florets and place them in a greased baking dish.
- 2. Melt the butter in a pot. Stir in the flour and let it cook briefly. Pour in the milk and cream and simmer the sauce until thick, stirring constantly. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- 3. Pour the sauce over the cauliflower. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat) for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown. Optional: You can also mix fried bacon cubes into the sauce.
