  1. 1. Cut the bread rolls into cubes of about 1 cm.
  2. 2. Whisk the eggs with a little salt and milk to create a liquid.
  3. 3. Pour the egg and milk mixture over the bread cubes.
  4. 4. Mix everything well.
  5. 5. Let the mixture soak for a while.
  6. 6. Fry the onions in butter until golden brown.
  7. 7. Fold the fried onions into the bread mixture.
  8. 8. Add some fresh butter to the mixture.
  9. 9. Add chopped parsley to the mixture.
  10. 10. Gently mix the flour into the mixture.
  11. 11. Wet your hands with water.
  12. 12. Shape the dumplings into round balls with your wet hands.
  13. 13. Bring salted water to a light boil.
  14. 14. Optionally add some cornstarch to the cooking water so the dumplings do not fall apart.
  15. 15. Simmer the dumplings for 15 minutes in the lightly boiling salted water.
  16. 16. Do not cover the pot while cooking.
  17. 17. Take some cooking water out.
  18. 18. Use the cooking water to make a delicious soup or to pour over vegetables.
