  1. 1. Put all ingredients for the shortcrust dough into a bowl. Quickly knead them together into a dough and set it aside.
  2. 2. Mix margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar, pudding powder, and eggs thoroughly in a bowl. Then fold in the quark (curd cheese) and sour cream. Whip the sweet cream until stiff and gently fold it into the quark mixture.
  3. 3. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  4. 4. Line a greased 26-centimeter springform pan with the shortcrust dough. Pull the dough up the sides about 2 to 3 centimeters. Pour the quark filling into the pan and smooth the top. Bake the cake on the second rack from the bottom for 1 hour in the hot oven.
  5. 5. Important: Do not remove the cake from the pan until it has completely cooled down. Immediately after baking, the quark filling is still too soft to be released from the mold.
