🍽️ Vegetable and Meat Rice Skillet

Ingredients
- 1 cup rice (e.g. Basmati)
- 300 g turkey cutlets (or chicken breast cutlets)
- 1 zucchini
- 2 carrot(s)
- 0.5 bell pepper(s), yellow
- 0.5 bell pepper(s), red
- 0.5 onion(s)
- salt and pepper
- paprika powder
- curry powder
- to taste soy sauce
- possibly Ketjap Manis
- to taste oil
- 1 cup broth
Instructions
- 1. Wash the vegetables thoroughly and cut them into small cubes.
- 2. Cut the meat into small, bite-sized pieces as well.
- 3. Set the prepared vegetables and meat aside for now.
- 4. Cook the rice in salted water, but only for about 7 to 8 minutes.
- 5. Drain the rice so that it does not become fully cooked.
- 6. Heat some oil in a large skillet.
- 7. Fry the turkey meat in the hot oil.
- 8. Season the meat with curry powder, paprika powder, salt, and pepper.
- 9. Continue to fry the meat for 5 minutes.
- 10. Add the diced onions and carrots.
- 11. Add a little more oil to the pan if necessary.
- 12. Fry the vegetables along with the meat for another 5 to 8 minutes.
- 13. Stir the remaining prepared vegetables into the mixture.
- 14. Add more oil again if needed.
- 15. Fry everything for another 5 minutes.
- 16. Fold the drained rice into the skillet mixture.
- 17. Stir everything well so that it all combines.
- 18. Season the dish with paprika powder, curry powder, salt, and pepper.
- 19. Add Ketjap Manis (sweet soy sauce) and regular soy sauce.
- 20. Pour about one cup of broth into the skillet.
- 21. Let the dish simmer for about 5 minutes.
- 22. Serve the rice skillet hot.
