🍰 Classic Tiramisu

Ingredients
- 3 Egg(s)
- 50 g Sugar
- 250 g Mascarpone
- 1 Pinch(es) Lemon zest (grated)
- 200 g Ladyfingers
- 4 Cup(s) Espresso (small espresso cups)
- 5 cl Marsala (or coffee liqueur)
- Cocoa powder
- Berrys (fresh (straw-, rasp- or blackberries))
Instructions
- 1. Separate the eggs. Carefully lift the yolks away from the whites.
- 2. Whip the egg whites until stiff. Gradually add half of the sugar while doing so.
- 3. Beat the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until creamy.
- 4. Fold the mascarpone and lemon zest into the yolk mixture.
- 5. Gently fold the yolk mixture into the whipped egg whites.
- 6. Place half of the ladyfinger biscuits in a dish.
- 7. Soak the biscuits with espresso and liqueur.
- 8. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over them.
- 9. Smooth out the cream.
- 10. Repeat the layers with the remaining biscuits.
- 11. Add the rest of the cream.
- 12. Chill the tiramisu in the refrigerator for about 4 hours.
- 13. Dust it generously with cocoa powder before serving.
- 14. Decorate it with fresh berries.
