  1. 1. Crush the cinnamon stick and cumin seeds in a mortar.
  2. 2. Finely chop the mint and chili pepper.
  3. 3. Peel the garlic and slice it thinly.
  4. 4. Mix everything with the oil.
  5. 5. Cut the meat into small cubes.
  6. 6. Toss the meat with the marinade.
  7. 7. Let the skewers marinate for at least four hours, preferably overnight.
  8. 8. Halve the apricots and remove the pits.
  9. 9. Take the meat out of the marinade.
  10. 10. Thread the meat onto the skewers, alternating with the apricot halves.
  11. 11. Grill the skewers, turning them frequently, for 6 to 10 minutes.
  12. 12. Alternatively, you can cook the skewers in a pan.
  13. 13. Sear them vigorously on both sides for 1 to 2 minutes each.
  14. 14. Then place them on a plate.
  15. 15. Let them finish cooking in the oven preheated to 80 degrees Celsius for another 15 minutes.
  16. 16. Season the finished skewers with sea salt and freshly ground pepper.
  17. 17. Tip: You can substitute the apricots with fresh figs.
