🍰 Mini Cakes in Waffle Cups

Ingredients
- 100 g Butter (or margarine, soft)
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla Sugar
- 2 medium-sized Egg(s)
- 125 g Flour
- 0.5 tsp, level Baking Powder
- to taste Dark chocolate coating
- 24 small Waffle cups (with cocoa-containing fat glaze)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat. If you use the convection fan setting, set the oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
- 2. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- 3. Place the 24 waffle cups on the prepared tray.
- 4. Beat the soft butter (or margarine) with a mixer until creamy.
- 5. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar.
- 6. Stir until the mixture is firm.
- 7. Add each egg individually.
- 8. Beat each egg on high speed for about half a minute.
- 9. Mix the flour with the baking powder.
- 10. Sift the flour mixture.
- 11. Stir the flour mixture into the batter briefly on medium speed.
- 12. Fill a piping bag with a star tip.
- 13. Fill the waffle cups about two-thirds full with the batter.
- 14. Place the tray on the middle rack in the oven.
- 15. Bake the cakes in the hot oven for about 15 minutes.
- 16. Let the cakes cool down afterwards.
- 17. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
- 18. Dip the top of the small cakes into the melted chocolate.
- 19. Sprinkle colorful sprinkles, shredded coconut, or chopped almonds onto the warm chocolate.
