  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (356 °F) top/bottom heat.
  2. 2. Wash the peaches, halve them, and remove the pit.
  3. 3. Whisk the egg yolks with half of the sugar in a bowl.
  4. 4. Heat the milk with the cinnamon stick in a saucepan until it is almost boiling.
  5. 5. Pour the hot milk slowly into the egg yolk mixture while stirring constantly.
  6. 6. Add the lemon juice and stir.
  7. 7. Place the peach halves with the cut side facing up in a baking dish.
  8. 8. Pour the milk-egg mixture carefully over the peaches.
  9. 9. Sprinkle the remaining sugar evenly over the peaches.
  10. 10. Bake the custard for 25 to 30 minutes in the oven until the custard is slightly set.
