Ingredients
- 200g Salmon fillet
- 1 Avocado
- 100g Leaf lettuce
- 1 Grapefruit
- 1 Lemon
- 2 EL Olive oil
- 1 EL Lemon juice
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes.
- 2. Pat the 200 g salmon fillet dry with paper towels. Never rinse it, or it will become mushy.
- 3. Rub the dry fillet with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper. Make sure it’s evenly distributed.
- 4. Dice the grapefruit into small cubes. Completely remove the white pith and membrane structure.
- 5. Halve the avocado, remove the pit, and dice the flesh. Work quickly to prevent browning.
- 6. Juice the lemon and mix the juice with 1 tbsp lemon juice. This is your dressing.
- 7. Wash the 100 g leaf lettuce thoroughly and shake it dry. Wet leaves will dilute the dressing.
- 8. Combine the avocado, grapefruit, leaf lettuce, 2 tbsp olive oil, and lemon mixture in a bowl. Don’t add more salt, the salmon is already seasoned.
- 9. Place the seasoned salmon fillet in the preheated air fryer basket. Ensure it doesn’t touch the bottom.
- 10. Cook the salmon at 180 °C for about 10 minutes, until the surface looks slightly matte and firm.
- 11. Check for doneness: A knife should slide easily into the fillet. If needed, bake for another 2 minutes.
- 12. Remove the salmon and let it rest for 3 minutes. This allows the juices to distribute evenly throughout the fish.
- 13. Cut the salmon into thick slices and serve alongside the salad. It’s perfect when the flesh looks flaky and juicy.
