Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes.
  2. 2. Pat the 200 g salmon fillet dry with paper towels. Never rinse it, or it will become mushy.
  3. 3. Rub the dry fillet with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper. Make sure it’s evenly distributed.
  4. 4. Dice the grapefruit into small cubes. Completely remove the white pith and membrane structure.
  5. 5. Halve the avocado, remove the pit, and dice the flesh. Work quickly to prevent browning.
  6. 6. Juice the lemon and mix the juice with 1 tbsp lemon juice. This is your dressing.
  7. 7. Wash the 100 g leaf lettuce thoroughly and shake it dry. Wet leaves will dilute the dressing.
  8. 8. Combine the avocado, grapefruit, leaf lettuce, 2 tbsp olive oil, and lemon mixture in a bowl. Don’t add more salt, the salmon is already seasoned.
  9. 9. Place the seasoned salmon fillet in the preheated air fryer basket. Ensure it doesn’t touch the bottom.
  10. 10. Cook the salmon at 180 °C for about 10 minutes, until the surface looks slightly matte and firm.
  11. 11. Check for doneness: A knife should slide easily into the fillet. If needed, bake for another 2 minutes.
  12. 12. Remove the salmon and let it rest for 3 minutes. This allows the juices to distribute evenly throughout the fish.
  13. 13. Cut the salmon into thick slices and serve alongside the salad. It’s perfect when the flesh looks flaky and juicy.
