🍞 Apple Cinnamon Pain Perdu with Walnuts

Ingredients
- 200 g Rosehip bread or white bread, sliced into 2 cm thick slices
- 200 g Apples, cut into cubes
- 40 g Butter
- 2 Eggs, large
- 150 ml Milk
- 1 TL Cinnamon, ground
- 1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
- 30 g Walnuts, chopped
- 20 g Powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1. Sauté the apple cubes in the pan with melted butter until soft.
- 2. Whisk the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla sugar in a shallow bowl.
- 3. Dip each bread slice briefly into the egg mixture until saturated but not falling apart.
- 4. Fry the bread slices golden brown on each side.
- 5. Fill each bread slice with the warm apples and sprinkle with walnuts.
- 6. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
