🥧 Simple Apple Crostata

Ingredients
- 500 g Puff Pastry (Frozen)
- 600 g Apples (e.g., Boskop)
- 50 g Sugar
- 1 EL Cinnamon
- 1 EL Lemon Juice
- 1 Stk. Egg Yolk
- 1 EL Sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Peel the apples, remove the core, and cut them into thin slices.
- 3. Toss the apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- 4. Divide the dough into two halves. Roll one half into a circle (approx. 25 cm diameter) on a baking sheet.
- 5. Spread the apple mixture on the dough base, leaving a border of approx. 3 cm free.
- 6. Roll the second dough sheet into strips and lay them diagonally over the apples to create a lattice pattern.
- 7. Brush the dough edges with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle some sugar on top.
- 8. Bake the crostata for approx. 35 minutes until golden brown.
