Ingredients
- 200g Tempeh
- 2 EL Soy Sauce
- 1 EL Canola Oil
- 2 Zehen Garlic
- 1 EL, gehackt Ginger
- 1 TL Sesame Oil
- 1 TL Honey
- 1 TL Chili Flakes
Instructions
- 1. Cut the tempeh into slices 1 cm thick. Tip: A sharp knife prevents crumbling.
- 2. Pat the slices dry with paper towels. Important: Don't rinse, that keeps the texture.
- 3. Pour 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 1 tablespoon rapeseed oil into a bowl. Stir briefly.
- 4. Finely chop 2 cloves garlic. Caution: Don't chop too small, or it will burn.
- 5. Finely chop 1 tablespoon ginger. Add it to the sauce mixture.
- 6. Place the tempeh slices in the marinade. Turn them until each side is coated.
- 7. Let the slices marinate for 15 minutes. Turn them once after 7.5 minutes.
- 8. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes for optimal heat.
- 9. Place the tempeh slices in the basket. Leave some space between the pieces.
- 10. Fry the tempeh for 10 minutes. Cook until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
- 11. Turn the slices after 5 minutes cooking time. This ensures even browning.
- 12. Mix 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon honey, and 1 teaspoon chili flakes in a small bowl.
- 13. Remove the tempeh from the air fryer. Place it directly into the sauce bowl.
- 14. Turn the tempeh in the sauce until it is completely glazed. Serve immediately.
- 15. Serve the dish warm. Perfect: The tempeh should crack slightly when bitten.
