Ingredients
- 200g Salmon fillet
- 1 EL Lemon juice
- 1 TL Lemon zest
- 2 TL gehackt Parsley
- 1 TL Thyme
- 1 Zehe, gehackt Garlic
- 30g Butter
- 30g Breadcrumbs
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes and is important for the crust.
- 2. Pat the 200 g salmon fillet dry with paper towels. Never wash it, as this breaks down the flesh.
- 3. Season the fillet with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper. Rub the salt in gently.
- 4. Put the 30 g butter in a small bowl. Let it soften at room temperature for a moment.
- 5. Add 1 tsp lemon zest and 1 tbsp lemon juice to the butter. This adds freshness.
- 6. Mince 1 clove of garlic finely. Make sure it isn't too small, so it doesn't burn.
- 7. Add the minced garlic to the butter mixture. This allows the aroma to develop better.
- 8. Chop the 2 tsp parsley coarsely. Fresh herbs taste more intense than dried ones.
- 9. Add the parsley and 1 tsp thyme to the bowl. Thyme pairs perfectly with salmon.
- 10. Stir in the 30 g breadcrumbs. The mixture should look like damp sand.
- 11. Spread the herb butter mixture evenly over the salmon. Cover it completely.
- 12. Place the fillet in the air fryer basket. Make sure it doesn't touch the air flow channel.
- 13. Cook the salmon at 180 °C for 10 minutes. The crust will start to turn golden brown.
- 14. Carefully flip the salmon once. This makes the underside crispy and evenly cooked.
- 15. Cook the fillet for another 3 minutes at 180 °C. The flesh should flake easily with a fork.
- 16. Let the salmon rest in the basket for 2 minutes. This allows the juices to distribute evenly throughout the flesh.
- 17. Remove the salmon and check the texture. It should be firm, but juicy. Serve on plates.
