🍽️ Airfryer Beef Fillet with Thyme Potatoes

Ingredients
- 200g Beef fillet
- 400g Potatoes
- 1 Bund Thyme
- 30g Butter
- 2 EL Olive oil
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes.
- 2. Peel the 400 g potatoes completely.
- 3. Cut the peeled potatoes into evenly sized cubes.
- 4. Wash the potato cubes in a sieve under cold water.
- 5. Pat the wet potatoes dry with a kitchen towel.
- 6. Put the dry potatoes into a bowl.
- 7. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
- 8. Toss the potatoes until they are evenly coated.
- 9. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket.
- 10. Cook the potatoes at 180 °C for 15 minutes, until golden brown.
- 11. Shake the basket vigorously to turn the cubes.
- 12. Cook the potatoes for another 5 minutes, until golden brown.
- 13. Remove the potatoes and keep them warm.
- 14. Pat the 200 g beef tenderloin dry with paper towels.
- 15. Season the tenderloin with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
- 16. Brush the tenderloin thinly with the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil.
- 17. Place the tenderloin in the hot air fryer.
- 18. Cook the tenderloin at 200 °C for 8 minutes.
- 19. Turn the tenderloin halfway through the cooking time.
- 20. Remove the tenderloin and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- 21. Finely chop the thyme from the stems.
- 22. Cut the 30 g butter into small pieces.
- 23. Mix the warm potatoes with thyme and butter.
- 24. Cut the tenderloin into thick slices.
- 25. Serve the meat on top of the potatoes.
- 26. Check the juices: they should be pink, not red.
