Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 min. Important: Preheating is mandatory for the crust.
  2. 2. Pat the 200 g tuna steaks dry with kitchen paper. Moisture prevents browning.
  3. 3. Rub the steaks with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper. Ensure even distribution.
  4. 4. Halve the 1 avocado and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  5. 5. Finely chop the 1 bunch of cilantro. Coarse pieces disrupt the creamy dip.
  6. 6. Press the 1 clove of garlic directly into the bowl with the avocado.
  7. 7. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice and 2 tbsp olive oil to the bowl. Acid prevents browning.
  8. 8. Blend the dip ingredients until smooth. The consistency should be like cream.
  9. 9. Place the tuna steaks in the air fryer basket. Do not let them overlap.
  10. 10. Cook the steaks at 180 °C for 8 min. The inside remains pink (medium).
  11. 11. Remove the steaks and let them rest for 2 min. This distributes the juices.
  12. 12. Place the steaks on plates and serve with the dip. Done-test: The tuna is juicy.
