Instructions

  1. 1. Cut the pork tenderloin into 2 equal pieces, each about 250 g in weight.
  2. 2. Pat the tenderloin pieces dry with paper towels – never wash them, as this spreads germs.
  3. 3. Peel 3 garlic cloves and press them through a press or chop them finely.
  4. 4. Rub the tenderloin pieces with 2 tbsp olive oil all over.
  5. 5. Sprinkle the chopped garlic and 1 tsp thyme evenly over the meat.
  6. 6. Season the tenderloin generously with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper.
  7. 7. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C so it’s immediately hot.
  8. 8. Place the tenderloin pieces in the basket so they don’t touch.
  9. 9. Cook the meat at 180 °C for 15 minutes, until it’s lightly browned on the outside.
  10. 10. Flip the tenderloin pieces halfway through the cooking time so they brown evenly.
  11. 11. Cook the meat for another 5 minutes, until the core temperature reaches 63 °C.
  12. 12. Remove the tenderloin and let it rest uncovered for 5 minutes so the juices redistribute.
  13. 13. Slice the tenderloin pieces into roughly 1 cm thick slices.
  14. 14. Arrange the slices on plates and drizzle with the meat juices.
  15. 15. Serve the meat warm – it’s perfect when it remains juicy and doesn’t dry out.
