Ingredients
- 500g Pork Tenderloin
- 2 EL Olive Oil
- 3 Zehen Garlic
- 1 TL Thyme
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Cut the pork tenderloin into 2 equal pieces, each about 250 g in weight.
- 2. Pat the tenderloin pieces dry with paper towels – never wash them, as this spreads germs.
- 3. Peel 3 garlic cloves and press them through a press or chop them finely.
- 4. Rub the tenderloin pieces with 2 tbsp olive oil all over.
- 5. Sprinkle the chopped garlic and 1 tsp thyme evenly over the meat.
- 6. Season the tenderloin generously with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper.
- 7. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C so it’s immediately hot.
- 8. Place the tenderloin pieces in the basket so they don’t touch.
- 9. Cook the meat at 180 °C for 15 minutes, until it’s lightly browned on the outside.
- 10. Flip the tenderloin pieces halfway through the cooking time so they brown evenly.
- 11. Cook the meat for another 5 minutes, until the core temperature reaches 63 °C.
- 12. Remove the tenderloin and let it rest uncovered for 5 minutes so the juices redistribute.
- 13. Slice the tenderloin pieces into roughly 1 cm thick slices.
- 14. Arrange the slices on plates and drizzle with the meat juices.
- 15. Serve the meat warm – it’s perfect when it remains juicy and doesn’t dry out.
