Ingredients
- 400 g Mushrooms (e.g., button mushrooms)
- 50 g Butter
- 2 Zehen Garlic
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
- 2 EL, gehackt Parsley
Instructions
- 1. Clean the 400 g mushrooms with a damp cloth. Don't wash them under water, or they'll become soggy.
- 2. Thoroughly dry the mushrooms with paper towels. Wet mushrooms will steam instead of brown.
- 3. Cut off the stems of the mushrooms. Discard the tough stems or save them for soup.
- 4. Halve any large mushroom caps. You can leave small mushrooms whole.
- 5. Peel 2 cloves of garlic and press them finely through a garlic press. Alternatively, chop them very finely.
- 6. Melt 50 g butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Don't let it brown.
- 7. Stir the pressed garlic into the melted butter. Smell it: it should smell pleasant.
- 8. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes. Preheating is essential.
- 9. Put the mushrooms into the air fryer basket. Spread them in a single layer, don't stack them.
- 10. Generously brush the mushrooms with the garlic butter. Use a brush or spoon it over them.
- 11. Sprinkle 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper over the mushrooms. Make sure they are evenly distributed.
- 12. Cook the mushrooms at 180 °C for 10 minutes, until golden brown. Open the basket and shake them well.
- 13. Brush the mushrooms with the remaining butter after turning them. This adds more flavor.
- 14. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes. The mushrooms should look golden brown and crispy.
- 15. Remove the basket and immediately sprinkle the mushrooms with 2 tbsp chopped parsley.
- 16. Serve the mushrooms hot. They are perfect when they are crisp and not mushy.
