  1. 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes.
  2. 2. Wash the onion and the 2 garlic cloves under cold water.
  3. 3. Peel the paper-like skin from the 2 garlic cloves.
  4. 4. Chop the onion and the 2 garlic cloves very finely.
  5. 5. Wash the parsley and the dill and shake them dry.
  6. 6. Chop the parsley and the dill finely and set them aside.
  7. 7. Pat the 500g ground beef dry with paper towels.
  8. 8. Put the ground beef, the egg, and the breadcrumbs into a large bowl.
  9. 9. Add the chopped onion, garlic, and herbs.
  10. 10. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon pepper.
  11. 11. Knead the mixture well with your hands until it’s smooth.
  12. 12. Form about 20 equal-sized balls with your hands.
  13. 13. Place the balls in the air fryer basket without touching each other.
  14. 14. Cook the balls at 180 °C for 10 minutes, until they are golden brown.
  15. 15. Carefully flip the balls with tongs.
  16. 16. Cook them for another 5 minutes, until they are golden brown.
  17. 17. Mix the yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  18. 18. Remove the balls and let them rest for 2 minutes.
  19. 19. Serve the balls with the herb yogurt. They are ready when they are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
