Ingredients
- 400g Chicken Wings
- 2 EL Soy Sauce
- 1 EL Honey
- 1 TL Garlic Powder
- 1 TL Paprika Powder
- 1 TL Chili Flakes
- 1 EL Olive Oil
Instructions
- 1. Pat 400 g chicken wings dry with paper towels. Never wash them, or they’ll become soggy.
- 2. Put the dry wings into a large bowl.
- 3. Add 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp chili flakes, and 1 tbsp olive oil to a small bowl.
- 4. Stir the marinade ingredients in the small bowl with a fork until smooth.
- 5. Pour the marinade over the chicken wings in the large bowl.
- 6. Toss the wings in the marinade until they are evenly coated.
- 7. Let the marinated wings sit for 10 min. so they absorb the flavour.
- 8. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C and heat it for 3 min.
- 9. Place the marinated chicken wings into the air fryer basket. Make sure they don’t overlap.
- 10. Cook the wings at 200 °C for 12 min. until they are golden brown.
- 11. Open the basket and flip the wings with tongs so they get crispy on all sides.
- 12. Cook the wings for another 8 min. at 200 °C. The skin will become dark brown and crispy.
- 13. Check for doneness: A knife should slide easily into the meat at the bone.
- 14. Remove the wings and let them rest in the basket for 3 min. to redistribute the juices.
- 15. Serve the crispy wings immediately. The dish is perfect when the skin cracks and the meat stays juicy.
